Nikki DiGioiaCompany Member 2006-current

Let me introduce you to Nikki DiGioia. Since I do not have her bio yet, I am going to tell you what I know about her...

Nikki graduated from Columbia College Chicago sometime in 2004 I want to say. After graduation she danced and performed with The Dance COLEctive under the artistic direction of Margi Cole for about 2 1/2 years. She has been dancing for a really long time and knows her stuff - you can tell - she is just that good. She is a certificated Personal Trainer. In May 2006, Nikki took Breakbone's Learning to Fall 3 week Intensive and just rocked it! She was so good, that she made some company members nervous. She advanced so quickly in the workshop in terms of skill, attack, and comprehension - it was very impressive!

So no surprise, in August 2006, Nikki was invited to tour and perform with us in our Logotype v2.1 for the Toronto International Dance Festival. Nikki is a joy to travel with and to be around - a breath of fresh air! Recently, she has been involved in some initial development workshops held with company members to explore movements for our premiere concert The DE-evolution of Mudwoman running 3 weeks Aug/Sept 2008 at The Viaduct Theater! With one nagging injury that had her side barred for about 6 months - she is taking it easy in rehearsals and frustratingly seeing what the future holds. She would love to be onstage for the Breakbone event this year for her second season with us! We will keep you posted! She is planning on running a half marathon this Spring & Oh...Nikki is engaged right now and will be married to a really great guy named Richie in July 2008. She is currently a high school PhysED and Health teacher making a contribution to kid's futures!
