breakbone classes | workshopsLearn about:Legal Disclaimer Requirements Bodyslam Technique Class/Workshop Curriculum Legal Disclaimer: The Bodyslam Technique is a physical feat for the body to perform. It incorporates use of the whole body. This intuitive technique develops physiques that have remarkably strong upper body strength, and uses low squats - requiring solid Hamstring & Quad muscle reflexes. The ability to land safely from a fall requires sharp sensory skills - much like a cat twisting it's body to land on its feet after a fall. The torso & back musculature areas need to be pliable for extensions while the abdominal muscles need to be toned for contractions. The hands are used like the feet in absorbing and cushioning falls, as well as, the safer padded body parts such as the trocanter/thigh, the forearm, the shoulder, the erector muscles along the spine, and the gluteus muscles. The impact and intensity are for individuals in good health, with minimal injury history, and who are not pregnant, currently recovering from injury, or asthmatic. Individuals with prevoius or heriditary heart conditons, arrhythmia, uterine infection, migraines/neck or whiplash injuries need to consult a doctor before participating in the Bodyslam Workshop - or any physical activity. Before you begin any exercise program, you should first consult with your doctor and have a physical examination if you have concerns regarding injury or uncertainty with your physical condition. The recommendations, instructions and advice within this class, are in no way intended to replace the importance of a balanced physical regimen & are offered for educational purposes only.
